Blanco County City Court Warrants
A city court issues municipal warrants for its own ordinance and fine-only cases. The cause might be traffic, a failure to appear, a court order, or a capias pro fine after judgment. A Blanco County sheriff list will not necessarily show a city warrant, and the county publishes no countywide roster, so a blank result proves nothing either way. Start with the city that wrote the citation. Blanco cases belong to Blanco Municipal Court. Johnson City cases go to Municipal Court of Record No. 1. The clerk for either court can confirm the process and move to recall the warrant. City police or county dispatch may handle service questions, but only the issuing court controls its legal record.
Blanco Municipal Court at 300 Pecan
Blanco Municipal Court sits in City Hall at 300 Pecan Street, Blanco, and lists 830-833-4525 extension 104. The city's court page covers ordinance violations and Class C misdemeanors, with links to forms, dockets, and FastGovPay, and the citation instructions give a clerk email of courtclerk@cityofblancotx.gov. The local warrant notice spells out a recall path. For immediate recall, appear at the city court with a cashier's check or money order. Paying online carries a catch: arrest exposure can last until staff process the payment and recall the warrant, so call the clerk first to verify current instructions and hours. The city's Municipal Court page gathers its case and citation resources. Remember it is a city-court source, not a Blanco County all-court search.
Blanco County Municipal Courts
Blanco County has two municipal-court systems. Their files are separate from each other and from the JP precinct records. A city case stays with the city named on the citation, no matter where in Blanco County the person lives.
| City court | Matters | Contact route | Warrant notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blanco Municipal Court | City ordinances and Class C | 830-833-4525 ext. 104 | Notice and recall forms published |
| Johnson City Municipal Court of Record No. 1 | City ordinances and Class C | 830-868-7111 ext. 4 | Clerk contact; no public search located |
Round Mountain appears here without a municipal court because the town posts no city police or court portal. A Blanco County resident there routes a county citation to the right JP or clerk.
Johnson City Court of Record
Johnson City Municipal Court of Record No. 1 is a distinct body: not Blanco Municipal Court and not a justice court. City code names a municipal judge who serves as magistrate and a clerk who keeps the municipal records, issues process, and maintains a criminal-case index, and it lays out municipal and Class C jurisdiction. Patricia Mikla is the clerk contact. Reach the court at municipalcourt@johnsoncitytx.org, 830-868-7111 extension 4, fax 830-868-7718, 303 E. Pecan Drive, or PO Box 369. A Johnson City ticket belongs with that clerk, not with the Blanco city court just because Johnson City is the Blanco County seat. The city-code overview at Johnson City Municipal Court of Record details the court and clerk provisions.
Check a Blanco City Court Warrant
Neither city offers a public warrant search by name. Blanco's FastGovPay link works as a citation payment and amount-due route, and Johnson City points people to its clerk, so no verified search fields, result layout, or update schedule exists for active warrants. Call the municipal clerk with a citation or cause number. No number handy? Ask the clerk what identifying details will pull up your own case. Then ask whether a warrant or capias is open, whether an appearance is required, and what step recalls it. For law-enforcement service questions rather than court status, the Blanco County Sheriff dispatch number is 830-868-7104. If the clerk cannot release city records by phone or online, send a written Public Information Act request to the city office holding the file. A records request is not a live warrant status check.
FastGovPay Is Not a County Search
Blanco's online instructions steer readers to FastGovPay to pay a citation or see the amount owed. The vendor screen does not promise a full active warrant view or coverage of JP and Johnson City cases, so treat it as a city citation route until the clerk explains what a result means. JP4's GovRec portal is court-linked too. Its page covers full citation payment with a 5% card processing fee, and partial or deferred payments need court approval. Johnson City posts no public warrant query by name. None of these tools replaces the issuing clerk's confirmation, and a blank result there proves little.
Blanco Municipal Warrant Fields
No public municipal warrant entry or number format is on display. The fields sketched below reflect a general court schema drawn from local forms and notices, not a claim that any search screen shows each item. The city links a Blanco recall PDF, but its fields and any filing fee need confirmation from the clerk rather than a Blanco County guess.
| Case / citation | City docket identifier used by the municipal clerk. |
|---|---|
| Warrant label | Could be arrest warrant, FTA, capias, or capias pro fine. |
| Amount | Fine, warrant fee, bond, or payment plan terms as ordered. |
| Status | Issued, served, recalled, or closed; ask the clerk for the local meaning. |
| Recall entry | Court processing after accepted payment or another approved action. |
The city notice lists a $50 warrant fee plus a $10 OmniBase fee. Call the Blanco County court to confirm current amounts, since a paid receipt alone does not prove the recall entry has posted.
Johnson City Warrant Report Rows
Johnson City, the Blanco County seat, publishes monthly municipal court reports in aggregate categories rather than a list of individual warrants. The February 2024 sheet counted 15 warrants issued, 0 served, and 3 closed, with a displayed total of 18. A separate line showed 0 FTA/VPTA, and another block held 15 Omni and 15 collections. The January 2024 report was quieter: 0 issued, 0 served, and 10 closed, totaling 10, with zero lines for FTA/VPTA and Omni/collections alike. Those figures tell you what the court tracks. They do not tell you whether any one person's case is open today. The OCA reporting instructions keep warrant activity, FTA/VPTA, and Omni/Scofflaw/collections in separate categories, so do not add the rows together or treat a report as a live roster. For a current city case, the Johnson City clerk can check the file directly. The OCA municipal report guide defines each category if you want to read the framework yourself.
Resolve a Blanco Municipal Warrant
Start with the clerk. Ask whether your case needs payment, a personal appearance, a show-cause hearing, a payment plan, a plea, or a warrant-recall form. Blanco Municipal Court's Procedures & Fines page links each of those city processes, installment agreements and recall included. The court's recall PDF does not display its fields here, so call before relying on any fee or entry the page does not show. Johnson City works the same way through its municipal clerk. Ask what appearance or payment route the judge has set, because no public recall form or live warrant query exists for that court. A city police call can route a service question. The municipal court itself, though, holds the records and recalls the case, so Blanco County residents with an active warrant should deal with the court directly.
Confirm the court's current location and accepted payment method before appearing. Ask for written proof after a recall or payment is recorded.
Municipal Capias Hardship Rules
A capias pro fine is not the same as a pre-judgment FTA warrant. Texas OCA guidance requires a court to hold an undue-hardship hearing before issuing one. The court must also recall it before execution when the person reports trouble paying, or appears voluntarily and makes a good-faith effort to resolve the amount. Ask the municipal clerk which label applies to you. Texas DPS runs a separate FTA/Failure-to-Pay program that can block license renewal until a reporting court sends compliance. That program still does not decide whether a city warrant is active in Blanco County. For the wider picture of city and county routing, see the Blanco County warrant overview.
